Grilled Pork Chop with Roasted Cinnamon Apples
Ingredients:
8oz bone-in frenched pork chop (ask the butcher if not available)
1 golden delicious apple
2 tbsp sugar
¼ cup apple juice or cider
Salt & pepper
Cornstarch
Cooking spray
Pork Chop Preparation:
Lightly salt and pepper both sides of the pork chop
Spray both sides of the pork chop with vegetable oil or cooking spray
Place the pork chop in the center of the grill for four minutes on each side. (This will not cook the pork chop all the way through and is intentional)
Apple Preparation:
Peel, core & quarter your apple
Add ¼ cup apple juice or cider and 2 tablespoons of sugar in a small saucepot & bring to a simmer.
Add apple, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch to 1 teaspoon of water and mix so there are no lumps.
Add cornstarch mixture to the apple juice or cider. Cook for 3 minutes or until apple softens
